The wines of “La Vecchia Cantina” derive exclusively from vineyards owned by the family in order to offer, to those who taste them, the authentic taste of Ligurian production, maximum expression of the area.
About Us
The agricultural holding “La Vecchia Cantina” came into being from Umberto’s and all the Calleri Family great dream, which through generations nurtured its passion: wine. A family indissolubly linked to the area of Albenga, since it has always dedicated itself with care and love to the production of excellent quality wines.
In 1982 Umberto started the refurbishment of the antique family building and made it adapt to host a cellar with modern and rational equipment for wine-making, marking that path which, through tradition and innovation, has guided “La Vecchia Cantina” up to now.
The Vineyards
The grapes used by “La Vecchia Cantina” derive exclusively from the family vineyards, in the area of Albenga, situated at the foot of the hill, at 100 metres above sea level.
The Cellar
The village of Salea is the backdrop to the cellar. In this small hamlet belonging to the town of Albenga is the heart of the Pigato production, white wine whose perfumes and colours have been a treasure of the Ligurian tradition since ancient times.
Wine-tasting fron Our Cellar
By the winehouse situated inside the cellar it is possible, by booking, to taste the wines produced, matched to the sampling of typical Ligurian dishes.
